Based in CohnReznick’s New England region, John Wohler is a retired partner and consultant for the tax practice in Connecticut. He is focused on addressing state and federal tax issues for the Firm’s clients and directs the Connecticut office’s individual and corporate tax planning functions. John provides business and tax consulting, planning, and compliance services to all types of financial services industry clients. His experience includes purchase/sale of businesses, retirement and estate planning and administration, IRS and State of Connecticut tax audits and state sales tax issues.
Prior to joining CohnReznick, John worked for a Big 4 firm where he was sent to Saudi Arabia to open the firm’s tax practice in the Middle East. John is the current chairman of the Professional Advisory Committee of Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and a board member of the Cherish the Children Foundation. He recently served on the board of directors of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Greater Hartford and the Greater Hartford Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
