Frank Longobardi, CPA, is a Retired Partner Consultant with CohnReznick and most recently served as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer until his term ended on January 31, 2020. In his current role, Frank serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Board on key growth initiatives while also overseeing CohnReznick’s Emerging Leaders Program.
As Chief Executive Officer, Frank led the organization with a strategic focus on driving profitable growth, delivering world-class client service, and developing future leaders of CohnReznick. During his tenure, the firm experienced sustained growth with current revenue of $650 million, over 2700 employees, and 25 offices in the U.S., Australia, and India. A longtime member of the firm’s Executive Board, Frank also served on the Board of Directors of CohnReznick Capital LLC, a boutique investment bank and a subsidiary of CohnReznick specializing in the energy sector.
Prior to being elected CEO, Frank held various leadership positions within the firm including Regional Managing Partner – New England where he led the firm’s Connecticut and Massachusetts offices. His leadership experience included roles overseeing all the firm’s industry practices and Go-to-Market strategy, managing an audit efficiency initiative, and launching CohnReznick’s Strategic Plan and its Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.
Frank’s distinguished career has centered on providing strategic guidance for middle-market clients. In 1984, Frank and Bob Haggett co-founded the accounting, tax and advisory firm Haggett Longobardi & Co. LLC. The firm specialized in providing a variety of services to middle-market clients in Hartford, Connecticut and grew both top and bottom line for 23 straight years before merging with J.H. Cohn in 2007.
Frank is a committed corporate citizen, ensuring that CohnReznick and its people are dedicated to giving back to the community. He is a Board member of the Arthritis Foundation and Member of the Arthritis Foundation’s Finance Committee and Chair of the Audit Committee. Frank will assume the Chair of the organization’s Board on January 1, 2021. Frank also serves as a Board member and Chair of the Audit Committee for the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation and is a Board member of Nexia International, a global accounting organization servicing companies in over 100 countries.
With a focus on developing future leaders in the profession, Frank is a frequent speaker and coach within the firm’s Learning and Development Programs, and regularly shares his perspectives on leadership and other important industry issues with the media and at events.
