William A. Kowals
William A. Kowals is a partner with CohnReznick’s Metro New York Region.Throughout his career, Bill’s deep knowledge and experience in serving private and publicly held companies and the financial services industry has earned him a highly regarded reputation. He has more than 30 years of SEC experience, including working with foreign companies with U.S. operations, as well as with U.S. companies that conduct business abroad.
Bill is the Professional Practice Leader for Assurance Services in the Metro New York Region. In this role, he is involved in risk management including client acceptance, resource allocation, and issue resolution. Bill is one of the leaders of the Firm's efforts to implement and comply with PCAOB audit and reporting requirements relating to broker-dealers.
To best service his clients, Bill has established outstanding relationships with the legal and banking communities throughout New Jersey and the greater New York and Philadelphia metropolitan areas. He works closely with CFOs to assess and obtain their financing requirements. Additionally, he has significant experience in assisting clients with strategic planning, improving financial performance, and mergers and acquisitions (structuring and due diligence).
Bill joined the Firm in 1980 and was admitted as a partner in 1994.
