Marc Podnos is a retired partner and consultant with over 35 years of experience. He is an authority on HUD and state regulatory affordable housing projects. With a 24-year tenure at CohnReznick, Marc specializes in HUD, state and rural development affordable housing, Yellow Book and Uniform Guidance audits, audits of corporate real estate tax credit funds, not-for-profits, and tax credit properties.
Marc maintains several key leadership roles within CohnReznick. He leads an ongoing Firm initiative to create and update audit programs, technical guidance, and related training programs that address the requirements of the Consolidated HUD Audit Guide and various state audit guides. He is also charged with quality assurance and technical reviews of his audit and assurance team’s and other teams’ client engagements. Marc serves high-profile clientele including owners of large numbers of tax credit and HUD regulated affordable housing projects. He heads the Firm's regulated affordable housing development committee.
Marc also has provided services to commercial enterprises such as construction contractors, government contractors, wholesale distributors, and consumer service providers.
