Garrett Ushiyama is a partner in the audit and assurance group for CohnReznick’s Los Angeles office. He is also co-leader of the Firm’s Commercial Real Estate Industry Practice in the West Region. Garrett has over 25 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to public and privately-held companies across a broad range of real estate companies. His extensive experience with real estate development and operations includes industrial, commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality properties as well as private equity and pension funds investing in real estate and REITs.

Garrett has served in interim controller and CFO roles for several companies in various industries and has experience providing advisory services in mergers and acquisitions and financial due diligence, litigation support, financial restructurings, and bankruptcies.

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Garrett was a partner in the audit practice at Squar Milner. He also served as a member of the assurance practice with Grant Thornton LLP for many years and has experience as an independent consultant and as a manager in the mergers and acquisitions group of Ernst & Young LLP. He began his career as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand.
