With more than 31 years of experience providing tax, accounting, and business advisory services, Ed Ryan is a a tax partner in CohnReznick’s Bethesda office. He has earned national recognition for his work in real estate syndication, partnership and real estate taxation, affordable housing, and low-income housing and historic tax credits. Ed’s involvement in the low-income housing tax credit area includes tax credit projects involving developers (both for-profit and not-for-profit), syndicators, equity partners, and local and statewide housing authorities. Additional areas of knowledge include partnership allocations, tax planning, taxation compliance review, structuring tax credit transactions, and preparing financial projections used to solicit debt and equity financing for real estate transactions.
Ed is a frequent speaker at national real estate conferences, especially in the affordable housing arena. He has written curricula for, and taught, numerous professional training courses covering topics such as low-income housing tax credits, technical principles, regulations, and compliance. Ed has served on the board of directors for the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce.
