November 20, 2025 – CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, today announced that Jaime Reichardt has joined its team as Partner and the new State and Local Tax (SALT) Practice Leader. As an experienced SALT attorney and advisor, Reichardt joins CohnReznick with extensive leadership and multi-state tax experience. A recognized industry thought leader, he provides strategic counsel and insight to clients and colleagues on a wide range of state and local tax matters.
Reichardt has a deep understanding of the state and local tax ramifications resulting from proposed transactions; residency and domicile changes; income and sales tax nexus analyses; and apportionment and revenue sourcing methodologies for income, gross receipts, franchise, and sales taxes. His broad expertise includes realty transfer taxes and potential relocations or expansions, associated analysis and negotiation of potential incentives, and required compliance and certifications. He has represented clients at the audit level and before administrative tribunals on a variety of state and local tax controversies.
“State and local taxes are one of our clients’ primary tax concerns – often presenting risks and opportunities. As CohnReznick continues to help our clients navigate critical state and local tax planning issues, including those arising from the One Big Beautiful Bill, we’re excited to have Jaime’s deep technical expertise in leading our 50+ strong SALT Services Practice,” said Patrick Duffany, Managing Partner – Tax. “His proven ability to navigate complex tax issues and deliver forward-thinking strategic solutions will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our team.”
Prior to joining CohnReznick, Reichardt oversaw the state and local tax practice for a major firm’s Mid-Atlantic region, including the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia offices. In this role, he advised firm leadership, clients, and tax professionals on significant legal, regulatory, and judicial developments, helping to shape firm policies for tax reporting and compliance. In addition, Reichardt litigated multistate controversies with several large national law firms and served as a state tax lobbyist and tax policy advisor to a State Treasurer.
Reichardt earned a J.D. with a concentration in taxation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, an LL.M. in Taxation from Loyola Law School, and a B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Rutgers University. He is a member and active participant of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association and State Chamber of Commerce Tax Policy Committees.
