As a member of CohnReznick’s National Assurance Group, Karen Schwartz is the Director of Inspections where she is responsible for all processes related to Private Company External Oversight, including AICPA Peer Review, Department of Labor, and CIIPA Cayman Islands, as well as oversight of CohnReznick’s In-House Inspection program. 

Prior to joining CohnReznick, she was a Director with another top 25 accounting firm’s Professional Practice Group where she was responsible for the quality assurance reviews of both publicly and privately held companies, employee benefit plans, not-for-profits, and a variety of other services and industries. She also taught numerous courses their learning and development team and was consulted on for her expertise on a variety of accounting and auditing matters. In conjunction with her role, Karen also performed Peer Reviews for other CPA firms. 

Karen started her career at a Big 4 firm in the Middle Market Practice Group and spent ten years in two CFO positions in the apparel and cosmetics industries. Karen is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and various State CPA Societies. She and her family currently reside in Boca Raton, Florida.
