Helps renewable energy clients to navigate the proper accounting for business combination, asset acquisition and common control transactions, and accounting for asset retirement obligations

Additional renewable energy services include supporting clients with accounting for Power Purchase Agreements issues, lease accounting issues, derivative and hedge accounting issues, sale leaseback accounting issues, and deferred tax accounting

Also advises renewable energy clients on accounting for tax equity financing including GAAP modeling to reflect various approaches for accounting for tax equity investments

For technology and life sciences clients, John provides support on revenue recognition issues, complex debt and equity financing (including convertible debt), convertible preferred stock and embedded derivatives, share based compensation, and debt modification and extinguishment issues

Prior experience includes eight years at a Big Four firm serving publicly traded Fortune 50 firms in the energy, banking, and media sectors, as well as a major healthcare system and a professional sport franchise

Previously held various senior corporate finance and accounting roles within multinational engineering, interactive media and marketing, and the construction and real estate development industry sectors
