While serving as a top international business resource in Connecticut, Jim Kask is also the Firm's Manufacturing & Distribution Industry leader. In his work with closely held businesses and individuals, he provides business and financial planning services, audit services, and tax planning and compliance. In this capacity, Jim delivers solutions that address the unique needs of manufacturing clients with services that include succession planning, multi-state and international tax, business consulting, valuation, and cost segregation studies.
Jim’s international experience includes working with U.S. clients with wholly-owned or joint venture entities abroad and foreign companies with a domestic presence. He regularly works with companies throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and Central America. Jim’s global experience includes understanding and applying national, regional and local tax regulations, compliance with national Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Foreign GAAP), Application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), value-added tax (VAT) matters, transfer pricing, import/duty tax matters, global supply chain analysis, global distribution logistics assistance, communication and global financial reporting systems, and internal control and asset protection.
