O’Brien joins CohnReznick with focus on Construction Integrity Monitoring

Julie O’Brien brings expertise in integrity monitoring and complex construction projects to CohnReznick.

New York, NY – May 20, 2025 – CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, today announced that Julie O’Brien(Opens a new window)(Opens a new window), CIGI, CFE, has joined the firm’s Government and Public Sector Advisory practice. O’Brien is a seasoned project manager with experience managing integrity monitoring teams, developing and implementing integrity monitoring programs, fraud prevention, construction monitoring, investigations, and compliance in both the public and private sectors. 

O’Brien has led large multidisciplinary teams in the deterrence, detection, and investigation of fraud on high-profile, complex, multi-billion-dollar construction projects. In her previous role as Senior DBE Compliance Manager for a large construction and development company, she was responsible for overseeing and implementing DBE Program systems and controls for several projects throughout the Northeast Region. She spent over a decade developing and tracking integrity monitoring programs and managing integrity monitoring teams in the detection, deterrence and investigation of corruption, fraud, waste, and abuse for a major metropolitan port authority.

O’Brien holds an M.S. in Urban Affairs from Hunter College, a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master’s Certificate in Terrorism Studies from John Jay College. Her certifications include Certified Inspector General Investigator (CIGI) 2015; Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) 2009; and Licensed New York State Private Investigator (NY) 2011.
