Case Study: Construction materials company looking for financial model

A construction materials company needed a financial model done that could assist in filtering acquisition targets.

    Background

A construction materials company was looking for a financial model that could assist in filtering out acquisition targets as they looked to expand aggressively in their field.

    What we did

Build a financial template that would enable the client to enter historical data from target companies and have the model generate projected P&L forecasts using the client’s operating metrics as well as quantifying the benefit of potential synergies.

    Results

The client was able to fast track its filtering of possible acquisition targets thus enabling them to target those with the highest returns while passing on those that did not meet the client’s demanding specifications.
