Theresa Gonzalez has over 20 years of experience in the government contracting industry, supporting organizations ranging in revenue size from $15M to $13B. Her experience includes incurred cost submissions, indirect rates, budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and contract administration. Theresa’s expertise in cost estimating for strategic proposals has been integral in helping Business Development teams determine the price to bid. She also advises on the allowability of indirect and direct costs and the allocability of indirect costs to final cost objectives in conformance with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Throughout her career, Theresa has been a strategic consultant to C-Level executives, providing the data and analysis to aid strategic and tactical decisions impacting the financial health of their organizations. She has trained Program Managers on ways to understand the vitality of their programs such as how gross margin and net profit directly impact their company’s financial statements. She develops price proposals, budgets, forecasts, and project financials for all levels of organizations while evaluating impacts to changes in indirect rates.
Before joining CohnReznick, Theresa led the finance department for a small/mid-size government contractor. In this role, she oversaw the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to provide strategic insight into the company’s financial health. Theresa sourced, implemented, and administered a new enterprise-wide ERP accounting system designed to adhere to federal regulations. She also partnered with her operations team, including contracts and accounting, to ensure strict compliance with contract requirements and apply costs to the correct indirect pools.
