Steven Kreinik is a tax partner in CohnReznick’s Miami and New York offices and a member of the firm’s Private Client Services practice. He has over 20 years of experience providing comprehensive tax consulting and compliance services to family offices, individuals, trusts and estates, and closely held businesses. Steve also assists clients with estate planning, philanthropy, and charitable giving by advising family offices and other donors on charitable planning, including charitable trusts, private foundations, and donor-advised funds.
Steve’s clients have included all partners in a $20 billion hedge fund, four generations of a large family, and many clients in the financial services and real estate areas. In addition to performing tax compliance and advisory services, Steve has extensive experience with tax controversy matters, and he has represented clients before the IRS, New York, and other states.
Steve returns to CohnReznick after serving as a tax partner at a Top 20 national accounting firm, where he served as the leader of the Real Estate Industry Group for the Florida region and worked with businesses to implement best practices and policies for financial controls and procedures. He also performed tax consulting and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
Steve is a frequent speaker and writer on topics including the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Qualified Opportunity Zones, financial planning, and charitable giving. He is also active with real estate organizations in the South Florida market.
