Phil Cornblatt is a CohnReznick tax partner with more than 18 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services. His specializations include partnership taxation and structuring, public charities, private foundations,and tax credit consulting for low income housing, historic rehabilitation, and New Markets Tax Credit projects.
Phil has extensive knowledge of real estate transactions and partnerships involving not-for-profit entities. He serves on the Exempt Organization Taxation Technical Resource Panel of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Nonprofit Committee of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Phil has written numerous articles on issues affecting not-for-profit entities, most recently an article on intermediate sanctions published by the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He has taught classes related to tax issues affecting not-for-profits for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and for the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations. In addition, Phil speaks at various conferences each year on various tax topics.
