Neil Gerard, CPA, is a tax partner at CohnReznick with more than 25 years of diversified public accounting experience. Neil is the Firm’s top resource in tax provision (ASC 740) and compliance consulting, the Tax Practice Leader of NJ, and is a member of the Firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution, Consumer Products, and Technology and Life Sciences Industry Practices. He regularly works with large multinational clients that are both public and private.
Neil specializes in preparing and reviewing complex multinational tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 implementation and review of ASC 740-10, Accounting for Uncertain Tax Positions. In addition, he assists in implementing and documenting internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance, accounting methods reviews, state and local tax analysis, and review and preparation of federal consolidated tax returns.
Neil is also the lead partner for the outsourcing of large multinational corporate clients for federal, state, and international corporate tax engagements. Prior to joining the Firm, Neil spent 14 years with Big Four firms, servicing several multinational SEC companies, as well as many middle-market businesses in various industries. Neil has presented on the tax implications of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act to various organizations, including the Practicing Law Institute (PLI).
