With more than 20 years of audit and industry experience, Lori Allen manages audit teams, provides technical guidance, analyzes computerized information and documentary evidence, and prepares comprehensive written reports for government contractors. She has a deep understanding of risk, planning, developing audit procedures, and communicating with government representatives and auditees.
Lori currently manages contract audit teams for various audits including incurred cost, business system, and proposal audits. She oversees all facets of the audit process including planning, risk assessments, fieldwork, reporting, and review of work papers to ensure procedures are completed. She also helps ensure conclusions are supported and quality standards are maintained.
Lori coordinates and responds to customers and auditees on audit scheduling and audit findings, trains audit teams and other staff members on proper auditing methodologies, techniques, documentation, and quality, and maintains deep knowledge of FAR, CAS, and other regulatory supplements. She has advised numerous contractors with millions of dollars in government awarded contracts in areas such as accounting system reviews, incurred cost audits for prime and subcontractors, and termination claims and proposals. Lori’s clients have included the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.K. Ministry of Defense (MOD).
