James Matzdorff is an assurance Partner with more than 15 years of experience in public accounting. His practice predominantly encompasses a variety of affordable housing projects, not-for-profit organizations, and faith-based institutions. He also manages the operations of CohnReznick Philippines Inc., serving as the primary U.S.-based contact for the Philippines team. James is well versed in the technical aspects of not-for-profits subject to Yellow Book and OMB Uniform Guidance. He also specializes in, but is not limited to, internal control, staff analysis and department realignment consulting as well as cost allocation and compliance driven audits.
James is a member of CohnReznick’s Not-for-Profit and Education Industry practice and the firm’s Affordable Housing Industry practice. His clients include start-up non-profits as well as those well into their life cycle, non-profit developers of affordable housing financed through the Department of Housing and Urban Development and state housing and finance agencies.
James is a frequent speaker at conferences and presenter of webcasts on issues that impact the non-profit sector.
