Christian Ehn, CPA, is a Tax Director with CohnReznick with more than 19 years of experience in providing clients with tax and business planning and tax compliance. His experience includes the preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for closely-held businesses and their owners across many industries. His duties include the day to day management of client relationships, team management, staff scheduling and coordination, and providing technical tax compliance support.
Christian has practical experience in a number of accounting and non-accounting functions, including, but not limited to, managing federal and state income tax returns for large corporate and partnership taxpayers doing business in all 50 states and abroad; managing income tax returns with tiered entities and complex transactions; preparing and reviewing income tax provisions for financial statement of for-profit business and for-profit arms of non-profit entities; providing due diligence and transactional support for companies looking to acquire other business and/or change their legal structure; analyzing investment statements and trading activity to determine tax consequences of transactions involving stocks, options, municipal bonds, and collateralized obligations; assisting in the development of Firm and client tax policies and procedures; implementing and proposing tax-planning strategies; interacting with the IRS and state taxation departments to resolve tax controversy matters; preparing bank deposit and litigation/forensic analysis; and tracing bank transactions through multiple entities.
