Brett Weal provides his clients advisory services related to the structuring and monetization of tax credits in conjunction with partnership tax guidelines. He brings more than 20 years of experience to each engagement where he assists his clients understand the intricacies associated with tax credits and their respective monetization structures. Brett’s background involves working with projects taking advantage of renewable energy, low income, historic, and new markets tax credits.

Since 2007, Brett has been primarily focused on advising clients within the renewable energy industry. Brett leverage’s his industry and tax experience to help his renewable clients understand and address complex tax issues routinely associated with these projects. Among other consulting engagements, his deliverables often include financial projections quantifying the investment opportunity and due diligence reports for potential investments in renewable energy projects. Brett is well versed in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and advises his clients on how to navigate the complex intricacies of the opportunities that the legislation provides.

Brett’s clients include major, publicly-held Fortune 500 companies and both foreign and domestic renewable energy developers and investors based across the United States.
