Alex Morgan is a partner in CohnReznick’s Tax Practice with more than 19 years of experience serving both publicly traded and privately held companies ranging in size from pre-revenue, start-up businesses to global companies with over $1.7 billion in revenues. Focusing on areas including tax planning and consulting, federal and state tax compliance and accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 accounting. Alex’s areas of focus include tax planning and consulting, federal and state tax compliance, and ASC 740, accounting for income taxes. His expertise extends to specialty areas related to organizational restructuring, business acquisitions and dispositions, due diligence, tax credits and incentives, IRS examination assistance, and international operations.
Utilizing his extensive knowledge in financial statement accounting and a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and international tax laws, Alex works with his clients to tailor their quarterly and year-end tax provision processes to ensure that the provisions are audit -ready and that all complex accounting and tax issues have been resolved prior to presentation to the independent audit firms. He has many clients that conduct business operations and transactions in multiple state and foreign jurisdictions, where he is instrumental in helping them navigate through their tax compliance and planning considerations and needs. In addition, Alex has significant experience performing tax due diligence procedures and helping his clients understand the potential hidden tax exposures that a transaction could bring. Alex has earned the trust and confidence of his clients through a history of delivering accurate and reliable results. Cultivating a high level of trust in the accuracy and reliability of his work is critical to exceeding his clients’ expectations.
