Manufacturing & Distribution M&A Quarterly
As the business world takes steps to respond and bounce back from the ongoing struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic, so did the Manufacturing and Distribution deal market in Q2 of 2021. While not quite at the capital levels we saw in 2019, the amount of capital invested increased nearly 55% compared with Q2 2020. Furthermore, with a significant amount of transactions currently being negotiated and a strong deal pipeline, it’s looking like the Manufacturing and Distribution sector will likely meet – or beat – 2019’s capital investment numbers. Shifts in deals and investments in Q2 repositioned the deal market to align with historical trends.
We’re also closely monitoring how the developing infrastructure plans and possible capital gains tax hike may affect the market.
