Robert Hilbert Named Managing Partner of CohnReznick’s Assurance Practice

CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading accounting, tax and advisory firms in the United States, has named Partner Robert Hilbert, CPA, the new Managing Partner of the Firm’s Assurance Practice. Hilbert succeeds Steven Schenkel, the Firm’s Chief Risk Officer who has held a dual role in overseeing both the Risk and Assurance Practices. Schenkel has announced his plans to retire next year, but will continue in the role of Chief Risk Officer until then.

Hilbert, who is based in the Firm’s New York office, previously served as the National Director of Accounting. With more than 25 years of experience providing technical guidance on accounting and auditing issues, Hilbert has specialized knowledge on issues including fair value accounting, financial instruments, debt and equity transactions, revenue recognition, business combinations, income taxes, and SEC reporting matters. His experience spans many industries including retail, manufacturing, and energy entities, small to very large banks and other financial institutions, and technology and life sciences companies.

Hilbert’s new position is effective immediately.
