Honorable Kenneth M. Donohue of CohnReznick Joins SSI Board
New York, NY - CohnReznick LLP, the 10th largest accounting, tax, and advisory firm in the U.S., is pleased to share that the Honorable Kenneth M. Donohue, Director and Senior Advisor with CohnReznick Advisory Group – Government Services, has joined Secure Settlements Inc. (SSI) as a member of their Industry Leader Advisory Board.
Donohue, former Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Inspector General under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, joins other notable industry leaders in offering strategic advice and counsel in the continued development of SSI’s closing table data intelligence, risk evaluation, monitoring, and reporting business.
“SSI has demonstrated remarkable leadership in the promotion of greater risk management and consumer protections surrounding residential closings. Its fraud products, developed over many years with risk analysts at Lloyd’s of London, are admirable and help to increase consumer and investor confidence,” Donohue stated in a press release issued by SSI in March 2014. “Having investigated and prosecuted mortgage fraud for decades, I am impressed with what they have built and look forward to assisting them as they continue to grow their closing fraud deterrence and detection business.”
At CohnReznick, Donohue, who is based in the Firm’s Bethesda, MD office, focuses on compliance issues, fraud and abuse, and prevention and protection of internal controls on behalf of the Firm’s federal and state and local government clients.
Prior to HUD, Donohue had a distinguished 21-year career with the U.S. Secret Service as Supervisory Special Agent, culminating with an assignment to the assistant director's CIA Counter-Terrorism Center. He served a diverse career that included major investigations and various assignments in dignitary protection. During his career he served two tours with the Protective Intelligence Division. He later was appointed as assistant director, Office of Investigations, within the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC).
