Deep understanding of the state and local tax ramifications resulting from proposed transactions; residency and domicile changes; income and sales tax nexus analyses; and apportionment and revenue sourcing methodologies for income, gross receipts, franchise, and sales taxes

Broad expertise includes realty transfer taxes and potential relocations or expansions, associated analysis and negotiation of potential incentives, and required compliance and certifications

Extensive experience representing clients at the audit level and before administrative tribunals on a variety of state and local tax controversies

Prior to joining, Jaime oversaw the state and local tax practice for a major firm’s Mid-Atlantic region, including the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia offices

Additional experience litigating multistate controversies with several large national law firms and served as a state tax lobbyist and tax policy advisor to a State Treasurer
