Cristi Lewis serves as the Charlotte office Professional Practice Leader (PPL) for the Assurance practice and is a member of the Affordable Housing practice. She provides audit, business consulting, regulatory compliance, and agreed upon procedures audits for regional and national affordable housing clients.
Experience and credentials
Certified Public Accountant
Industry experience includes governmental agencies (including PHAs), commercial real estate, construction contractors, and residential multifamily housing
Works with multiple investment fund audits and performs certain agreed-upon procedure engagements with respect to investment funds and their contractual agreements
Involved in all functions of the audit including engagement planning, tax planning, auditing and financial reporting, due diligence, supervising staff, and agreed-upon procedure engagements
Thorough knowledge of GAAP, GAGAS requirements, HUD audits, and OMB Uniform Guidance
As the Charlotte PPL, she serves as the liaison between the local office and the National Assurance and Risk Management Group as it relates to communicating, implementing, monitoring, and assessing compliance with positions, policies, and practices
