Rony Rodriguez is a tax partner and serves as the National Leader in REIT Tax Services in the Commercial Real Estate practice. Rony has more than 20 years of diversified public accounting experience with an extensive background in advising real estate clients, including private and public equity and mortgage Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) as well as private equity real estate funds.

Certified Public Accountant
Assists clients with a variety of tax issues including entity structuring, REIT Mergers and Acquisitions, qualification, REIT conversions, acquisition and sale of REIT shares/properties, complex partnership issues, and unrelated business taxable income (UBTI) planning
Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm’s real estate tax practice
Has an extensive background working with investment partnerships consisting of hedge funds and private equity funds, including consulting on operational, transactional, and tax issues in the financial services industry
