Through prior experience as a senior-level contract auditor and contracting officer’s technical representative for a federal agency and as a chief financial officer of a small federal government IT contractor, acquired working knowledge of FAR/contract compliance, allocability and allowability issues, disclosure statement requirements, and DCAA audits
Works on behalf of several government agencies to conduct a variety of pre-award and post-award contract audits, to include business systems reviews, incurred cost audits, and support for competitive source selection procurements
Advises government contractors on creating and enhancing internal controls related to business systems and preparing for incurred cost and other government (DCAA/DCMA) audits
Helped a small federal contracting business triple in size serving as the lead cost volume preparer on a $200M, five-year contract proposal
Also helped a large manufacturing and engineering services firm significantly reduce its costs using a new indirect cost rate model along with one consolidated disclosure statement
