Jeffrey Moskowitz provides audit and accounting services, primarily focused on serving clients in the Financial Services and Financial Sponsors sector. Jeff is a member of the Financial Services Industry Practice and serves the Cannabis and Opportunity Zones industries. He has worked with clients from start-ups to multi-billion dollar SEC registrants, both in a direct client service and quality control capacity.

Jeff is also Professional Practice Co-Leader for Assurance Services in the Metro New York Region covering the financial services and financial sponsors industries. In this role, he is involved in risk management including client acceptance, resource allocation, and issue resolution.

Certified Public Accountant

Clients include hedge and private equity funds, venture capital funds, fund of funds, real estate funds, investment management companies, registered investment advisors, broker dealers, depository institutions, and finance companies. His clients deploy a variety of strategies, many of which include long-short equities, debt instruments and private investments across various industries including non-traditional assets such as cannabis

Experience includes advising companies on organizational structures, supervision of audits, and ongoing consultation with management regarding various operational, transactional, and other related matters. He also advises companies on various regulatory issues impacting the industry

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Jeff worked in a financial services industry practice of a Big 4 firm and an international accounting firm where he gained more than 10 years of experience providing audit and assurance services for clients in the financial services sector. His experience during that time included analysis of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations, assessing internal control procedures, as well as performing annual audits of private companies

Regularly lectures at financial service events and is involved in various publications in the financial services industry

In 2015, Jeff was named as a CPA Practice Advisor “40 Under 40” honoree, which recognizes professionals helping lead the accounting profession into the future
