Alan Wolfson is CohnReznick’s Regional Managing Partner for the Northeast Region. In this role, he leads the growth strategy for the region – including management of clients, employees, and financial strategy – as well as oversight of the region’s eight Office Managing Partners (OMPs). He is a member of CohnReznick’s Executive Board.
Alan previously was Office Managing Partner of CohnReznick’s New York office, overseeing all client relationships in New York and ensuring client needs are being met. As a hands-on business advisor, Alan has assisted clients in raising capital and making complex transactions, helping with business matters such as cash flow, technology, and infrastructure.
During his more than 30 years in practice, Alan has provided auditing, accounting, tax, and other business services including, but not limited to, transactional due diligence and structuring, operational analyses, cost segregation studies, debt and equity introductions, and strategic tax planning. His clients have included hospitality businesses, electronics companies, supply companies, consumer products manufacturers and distributors, apparel companies, commodity trading companies (coffee and sugar importers and distributors), and publishing companies.
Alan is an active member of several associations, both trade and professional, where he has established outstanding relationships with many service providers that bring value to the industry and to his clients. He joined CohnReznick in September 1999 after serving as a principal of another mid-sized, New York-based accounting firm where he spent his first 13 years in practice.
