Renee Mathews has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, tax, and financial management. As an office leader in the Commercial Real Estate and Hospitality practices, Renee provides audit services for various organizations in the real estate, mortgage lending, and hospitality industries and has a wide range of experience in challenges unique to these industries.

Clients have included HUD lenders, DUS lenders, real estate investment funds, mortgage investment funds, tax credit investment funds, nursing homes, owners of hotels, condos (new construction and conversion), and multi-family residential properties (affordable and market rate)
During her career, Renee has served as controller for a Bethesda-based multi-family mortgage banker that originated loans for commercial conduits, as well as HUD, and issued Ginnie Mae Backed Securities
While serving as chief financial officer for a Montgomery County, MD real estate developer, she was responsible for oversight of subsidiaries in the property management, construction, and single-family mortgage lending industries
In addition to her client responsibilities, Renee has served on the board of directors for two Washington, D.C. area not-for-profits, joined two school boards in an officer position, and led internal leadership trainings and initiatives
