Kayla Schultz is an assurance partner serving public and private companies across a variety of industries, notably renewable energy and technology. She serves as a national assurance instructor for CohnReznick and has led numerous internal and external trainings including renewable energy accounting seminars.
Kayla plans and executes engagements between clients and internal teams across the country, and with the firm’s international operations team. Her experience in renewable energy includes advising multi-billion dollar corporations and sponsors investing across energy infrastructure on diverse technologies that serve residential, commercial, industrial, and utility scale off-takers. Her industry acumen includes technical accounting matters, financial structuring and modeling, and overall business and industry issues that facilitate and expedite transactions.
Kayla’s strong technical skills help her identify and resolve complex technical accounting issues including business combinations, investment accounting and consolidation, hypothetical liquidation at book value modeling, and the evaluation of liquidation provisions, revenue recognition, multifaceted equity and debt financing transactions, and leasing arrangements. Her management skills and detailed, hands-on service approach enable Kayla and her teams to move clients beyond compliance matters to a focus on operational efficiency and standardization across their accounting and reporting platforms.
