Garrett Wells is a partner at CohnReznick and is a member of the Firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice. He has more than 14 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to a variety of clients in the real estate industry, including commercial, multi-family housing, affordable housing, and hotels.  Garrett has extensive practical experience working with businesses structured as both partnerships and corporations, including Real Estate Investment Trusts.  In addition, his background includes extensive knowledge of various federal and state tax credit programs, including New Market Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and Historic Tax Credits.  

Garrett’s services to clients include performing technical reviews of tax returns, supervising engagement staff, identifying and resolving tax issues, and assisting and advising clients on tax planning strategies. Within CohnReznick, he has led firm-wide training focused on various REIT compliance issues and other practical matters.
