Daniel Lobatto joins CohnReznick as tax partner in financial services

Chicago, IL — October 19, 2026 — CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, today announced that Daniel Lobatto has joined the firm as a Tax Partner in Financial Services.

Based in the firm's Chicago office, Lobatto brings more than 26 years of experience advising private equity firms, hedge funds, real estate sponsors, family offices, and investment management organizations on complex U.S. and international tax matters. His experience spans fund formation and structuring, cross-border transactions, international tax planning, transfer pricing, and tax risk management.

“Financial services organizations face increasingly complex tax considerations as they structure investments, manage cross-border transactions, and navigate evolving regulations,” said Jeremy Swan, Managing Partner, Asset Management and Financial Services Practice Leader. “Daniel brings extensive international tax experience and a deep understanding of the financial services industry. His ability to connect tax strategy with broader investment and business objectives will be a valuable addition to our team and the clients we serve.”

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Lobatto held international tax leadership roles across the Netherlands, New York, and Chicago at a Big Four professional services firm. He earned his MBA from Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands and holds master's degrees in tax law and corporate law from universities in Amsterdam.
