Mike Beck is a retired partner/consultant at CohnReznick with more than 25 years of experience in public accounting. He joined CohnReznick in 1989, in the firm’s Charlotte office, and transferred to Atlanta in 1996 to head up the accounting and audit practice for that office. Mike was instrumental in the development of the Firm’s automated auditing software as well as other technological initiatives undertaken in the past few years. He is still heavily involved with clients and has a significant client base of developers, contractors, and investor funds.

For 10 years of his career, Mike served a variety of inventory-intensive manufacturing clients including: Thomas Built Buses, Toltex, Wrangler Jeans, Oakwood Manufactured Homes, Boren Brick, and Alcatel. He has also served Bank of America and APC, a division of American Electric Power. Mike has performed special engagements in areas that include consolidations, special analyses involving purchase accounting and rolling up large blocks of acquired entities into reporting entities, and changes in accounting policies to conform newly acquired entities to the policies of the acquiring entity.

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Mike worked for a number of years with international accounting firms. During that time, he was asked to serve a two-year term in the consultation area within the national office of Deloitte.
