As a member of CohnReznick’s Global Consulting Solutions practice, Maurice Crescenzi has nearly 30 years of in-house and Big 4 consulting and risk management experience. He works with organizations in multiple industries to assess, design, implement, and enhance governance structures, ethics and compliance programs, and other risk-focused programs.
As a consultant, Crescenzi has helped numerous Fortune 500, Russell 2000, and start-up organizations across industries develop and optimize their enterprise risk management; ethics and compliance; environmental, social, and governance (ESG); and third-party risk management programs. He is well-versed in a variety of risk domain areas as well, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption; anti-harassment and anti-discrimination; antitrust and competition law; anti-money laundering; conflicts of interest; gifts and entertainment; human rights issues; information management; social media compliance; and more. His consulting experience includes building client-facing, risk advisory practices from the ground up, including strategy development; service offering and methodology development; marketing and branding; thought leadership publication; and building, mentoring, and developing teams
As a former industry professional, Maurice earned a reputation for driving compliance and risk-management programs at a strategic level, aligning these efforts within the broader contexts of sustainability and corporate responsibility, while right-sizing initiatives to fit within an organization's culture. He has held leadership-level compliance and risk management related positions in multiple global companies. A significant part of Maurice’s in-house experience involved working on the ground in more than 35 countries, helping his organizations’ local business units implement the programs designed at a global level. During his tenure as an industry ethics and compliance officer, Maurice supported clients in numerous industries including food and beverage, transportation, consumer and industrial, education, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, cannabis, and retail.
Before joining CohnReznick, Maurice was Managing Director for a multi-billion dollar global, publicly-traded professional services firm. In addition to his work with CohnReznick, he serves as a graduate adjunct professor for the Rutgers Business School MBA program and Montclair State University’s Law and Governance Master of Arts program. Maurice has taught multiple courses, including: Business Ethics and Society, Organizational Governance and Compliance Programs, Advanced Studies in Organizational Ethics, Comparative International Anti-Corruption Laws, Employee Relations as an Ethics and Compliance Risk, Effective Ethics and Compliance Programs as a Competitive Advantage, and Supply Chain Compliance. He is a Certified Ethics and Compliance Professional (CCEP) through the Compliance Certification Board and has a Certification in Executive and Ethical Leadership from Rutgers University.EDUCATION
