Maier N. Rosenberg, CPA, CGMA, is a senior managing director with CohnReznick. Through a career that started in 1976, he provides advisory and accounting services to privately held and public companies in the emerging and middle markets. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries including cannabis, financial services, and manufacturing and distribution.
Within the cannabis industry, he has worked with private equity funds, cultivators, manufacturers, distributors of vape pens and extraction equipment, and retailers. Maier co-leads the efforts of our Firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution Industry Practice in Southern California and our Firm’s Cannabis Industry Practice in our Southwest Region. In this capacity, Maier actively participates in target identification and analysis, financial due diligence and pre/post-merger integration and operational consulting. Additionally, Maier co-leads the efforts for the Firm’s Financial Services Industry Practice in our Southern California offices. Maier has successfully advised companies to improve bottom-line results, sell their businesses, and negotiate bank agreements.
Maier was named one of the Valley’s Most Trusted Advisors by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. He has extensive business consulting experience, servicing clients with sales volume ranging from $15 million to $350 million and has guided many of his clients through debt financings, acquisitions, and divestitures and has aided with operational and manufacturing process improvements. Maier has also developed and conducted professional development courses in the accounting and audit methodology fields. In addition to holding CPA certification, Maier also earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation, a worldwide standard of professional excellence in management accounting, from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as Chief Operating Officer of a middle market manufacturing company for five years. Prior to that position, he was the regional managing partner of a national public accounting firm and partner-in-charge of the local office’s Commercial Industry Practice.
