As a member of the National Assurance Group, Karen Schwartz is the Director of Inspections where she is responsible for all processes related to Private Company External Oversight, including AICPA Peer Review, Department of Labor, and CIIPA Cayman Islands, as well as oversight of CohnReznick’s In-House Inspection program.

Certified Public Accountant
Prior experience includes serving as a director at another top 25 accounting firm’s Professional Practice Group, where she was responsible for the quality assurance reviews of both publicly and privately held companies, employee benefit plans, not-for-profits, and a variety of other services and industries
Has taught numerous courses for learning and development teams and was consulted on for her expertise on a variety of accounting and auditing matters
Experience performing Peer Reviews for other CPA firms
Began her career at a Big 4 firm in the Middle Market Practice Group and spent ten years in two CFO positions in the apparel and cosmetics industries.
