Dean Boyer is data forensics expert with over 30 years’ experience in his field. He has served in various information technology roles ranging from Software Engineer to Chief Information Officer.  Prior to joining CohnReznick Advisory he served as the Chief Operating Officer for an Accountable Care Organization. Dean‘s industry experience encompasses healthcare, insurance and banking.  For the past fifteen years Dean has been engaged with healthcare executives using analytics to improve the performance of their organizations. 

He brings to this role more than 25 years of extensive experience in system development life cycles (“SDLCs”) such as Lean, Agile, Scrum and Waterfall; business process engineering; and data modeling.  Dean excels at managing large integrated systems, deploying cloud-based solutions, and developing integrated solutions spanning multiple organizations.  He possesses a unique blend of hands-on technical experience and executive management skills.  Over the course of his career, Dean gained broad industry exposure, with a recent focus on the insurance, healthcare and banking sectors.

Prior to joining the Firm, Dean served as the chief technology officer for three start-up organizations, guiding them in the development of organizational structures and the implementation of their data, application, and technology infrastructures.  This included overseeing technology management and solution development strategies.  He developed an aptitude for helping small and medium-sized organizations build actionable analytics that provide financial insights and competitive advantages based on their industries.  Dean’s experience includes helping clients in the healthcare, rental, and credit card industries with customizable business intelligence modules that support ETL (extract, transform, load), data governance, data visualization, web access, and mobilization.

Previously, Dean directed the BI Practice of a leading consulting firm, where he successfully built two regional BI practices, each generating $8 million in services within the first 24 months of operation.  His accomplishments included establishing relationships with vendors such as QlikView, Informatica, Hyperion, Talend, 3M, Cerner, EPIC, McKesson, Allscripts, and Microsoft.  

Earlier in his career, Dean was involved in engineering software solutions for complex systems involving multi-tiered architectures for software firms.
