Shaune Scutellaro Named Trustee of New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants
June 1, 2017 – Roseland, NJ – Shaune Scutellaro, CPA, a senior manager at CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the United States, has been named as a trustee of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). Shaune will serve a three-year term beginning June 1, 2017.
Based in the Firm's Eatontown, NJ office, Shaune is a member of the firm's Technology and Life Sciences Industry Practice and National Tax Practice with a background in corporate, partnership, and individual tax planning and compliance, including multi-state and international companies. Shaune's experience in the technology and life sciences industry includes general accounting and working with small start-up entrepreneurs to set up accounting methods, standards and procedures, state registration, and employment issues. He also has a great amount of knowledge and expertise in both inbound and outbound international tax issues, including navigating and interpreting a number of US tax treaties; reporting on foreign investment for US residents; and completing any necessary compliance for US citizens living abroad, US resident aliens, and nonresident aliens with US taxable income and FACTA reporting requirements.
Shaune is a licensed CPA in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Science in Accountancy from University of Phoenix. Shaune is also the former chair of the NJCPA's Federal Tax Income Group, as well as a member of the NJCPA Content Advisory Board. In addition to his work with the NJCPA, Shaune is also a member of BioNJ's Entrepreneurship Committee.
Founded in 1898, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is the largest professional organization serving the needs of Garden State CPAs and aspiring CPAs. With a membership of more than 14,000, the NJCPA represents the majority of New Jersey CPAs in public practice, business & industry, government, and education. The organization supports its members through a variety of education, networking, leadership, and volunteer initiatives. The NJCPA's Board of Trustees manages and controls the business of the society, approves the annual budget, and assigns duties and responsibilities to the Executive Director.
