Fausto Diaz Named President of NJCPA Middlesex/Somerset Chapter Board
June 15, 2017 – Roseland, NJ – Fausto Diaz, CPA, a Senior Specialist in the Finance Department of CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the United States, was named President of the Board of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants' (NJCPA) Middlesex/Somerset Chapter. Fausto was sworn in to the position on Thursday, June 15th during the NJCPA Annual Business Meeting at the 2017 NJCPA Convention & Expo in Atlantic City. His one-year term began on June 1st and is effective until May 31st, 2018.
As Chapter President, Fausto will preside over all meetings of the Board of Directors, ascertain that the various chapter-level committees are functioning well, and authorize expenses from chapter funds. He will also be leading a team to carry the mission of the NJCPA as it pertains to the accounting profession.
Fausto joined CohnReznick in September 2015. He is experienced in performing financial statement reviews, analysis, and preparation; executing monthly closing processes; maintaining general ledgers; reconciling accounts; and preparing budgets and cash flow. Before joining CohnReznick, he spent ten years working for the largest retailer-owned grocery store cooperative in the United States. Fausto holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Kean University and an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Middlesex County College.
Founded in 1898, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants is the largest professional organization serving the needs of the state's CPAs and aspiring CPAs. With a membership of more than 14,000, the NJCPA represents the majority of New Jersey CPAs in public practice, business and industry, government, and education.
