General Temple will discuss:

  • The USACE’s organization and operating principles;

  • The future of public/private partnerships involving the USACE;
  • How to do business with the USACE, both military and civil elements; and
  • Tips for contracting with the federal government.

General Bo Temple retired in September 2012 after 37 years of service as Acting Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Throughout his noteworthy career, General Temple held positions such as Deputy Commanding General for both Civil Works and Emergency Operations, and Military and International Operations, as well as, Commander of North Atlantic Division in NYC, and Commander of Transatlantic Programs Center in Winchester, VA. During the rebuilding of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, General Temple oversaw the USACE’s $14.7B program that included improvements and new construction along a 375-mile long series of levees, walls, pump stations, control gates, navigation channels, and environmental restoration projects. He also oversaw $12 billion in BRAC-related military construction and the multi-billion dollar reconstruction programs in Afghanistan and Iraq.
