Ernie Barbaris has a broad range of experience working with both publicly traded and privately-held companies. Based in the Parsippany office, he provides tax-related services to a diverse group of industries including distribution, manufacturing, publishing, biotechnology, telecommunication, retail, and professional services.

Ernie’s areas of focus include federal, state, and local income taxes, ASC 740 and ASC 740-10 analyses, tax planning, tax audit defense settlements, nexus studies, and sales and use tax consulting. Additionally, many of his clients are foreign-owned domestic corporations requiring overseas reporting.

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Ernie was Senior Tax Manager with a Big 4 accounting firm. During his ten year tenure there, he provided tax planning and consulting services to a variety of Fortune 100 and 500 clients.
