Cristi Lewis is a partner in CohnReznick’s Charlotte office, a member of the firm’s Assurance Practice, and a member of the firm’s Affordable Housing Industry Practice.  She also serves as the Charlotte office Professional Practice Leader (PPL) for the Assurance Practice. 

Cristi provides audit, business consulting, regulatory compliance, and agreed upon procedures audits for regional and national clients within the affordable housing industry.  Her industry experience includes governmental agencies (including PHAs), commercial real estate, construction contractors, and residential multifamily housing.  She works with multiple investment fund audits and performs certain agreed-upon procedure engagements with respect to investment funds and their contractual agreements.  

Cristi is involved in all functions of the audit, including engagement planning, tax planning, auditing and financial reporting, due diligence, supervising staff, and agreed-upon procedure engagements.  She has thorough knowledge of GAAP, GAGAS requirements, HUD audits, and OMB Uniform Guidance.  

In addition to Cristi’s client service responsibilities, in her role as the local PPL, she serves as the liaison between the local office and the National Assurance and Risk Management Group as it relates to communicating, implementing, monitoring and assessing compliance with Firm positions, policies and practices.
