CohnReznick’s Kelly Frank Named to FASB Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC)

New York, NY – January 10, 2017 – Kelly A. Frank, CPA, CGMA, partner and Not-for-Profit and Education Industry Practice Leader at CohnReznick, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the United States, was appointed to the Financial Accounting Standard Board’s (FASB) Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC)

Effective January 1, 2017, Kelly will serve a four-year term on the prestigious NAC, the standing committee that works closely with the FASB in an advisory capacity to ensure that perspectives from the not-for-profit sector are effectively communicated to the FASB on a timely basis in connection with the development of financial accounting and reporting standards. Kelly is one of a broader team of leaders in the not-for-profit space serving on the board.

“With the release of the new not-for-profit financial reporting standard (ASU No. 2016-14) and additional changes being considered that will impact the ways not-for-profits operate, the sector is at a very pivotal point,” said Frank. “I’m honored to join this prestigious committee and work closely with my fellow members to represent not-for-profits across all sub-segments, especially during this important time when the FASB is continuously considering changes and improvements.”

Kelly has over 20 years of diversified public accounting experience with an extensive background in providing audit and accounting services to not-for-profit clients including professional associations, foundations, social service agencies, arts and cultural organizations, educational institutions, and religious organizations.

“On behalf of the entire CohnReznick team, I congratulate Kelly on this impressive appointment,” said Frank P. Longobardi, CohnReznick CEO. “Our not-for-profit clients, and the entire industry, will benefit from Kelly’s insight and her ability to effectively communicate the needs of not-for-profits to the FASB.”

In addition to this new role, Kelly serves as a member of the Finance Committee, former Treasurer and Vice President of the Mental Health Association of Essex County, New Jersey, and is a board member and Chair of the Finance Committee for Caucus Educational Corporation (CEC). She also serves on the finance committee for Joe Torre’s Safe at Home Foundation, and is a member of both the Financial Oversight Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee for the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center. A Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Global Management Accountant, Kelly is a graduate of Montclair State University.
