CohnReznick Receives AWSCPA’s 2015 Innovation in Women’s Programming Award
NEW YORK, NY – The American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA) is pleased to announce that CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., is the recipient of its Innovation in Women’s Programming Award for 2015. This award recognizes CohnReznick for its efforts to continually develop new and innovative programs to promote and support women in the accounting profession, as exemplified by WomenCAN: A Collaborative Advocacy Network for Women and the Executive Women’s Forum.
“We are honored to be recognized for the efforts that we have put into enhancing both internal and external components of our women’s network,” said Risa Lavine, Chief of Staff at CohnReznick. “WomenCAN and the Executive Women’s Forum have experienced much growth in the past couple of years due to the efforts of our liaisons and other leaders who have embraced the importance of a gender-based diversity strategy.”
Through WomenCAN, CohnReznick focuses on establishing a network that allows the Firm to create a community that supports the development of women and provides them with the resources that enable their success. Participation in WomenCAN is open to all of the Firm’s women and, through office liaisons, each region rolls out initiatives best suited to its local needs.
CohnReznick’s externally facing Executive Women’s Forum creates experiences designed to promote relationship building, career development, personal and Firm branding, and business development among women executives.
Earlier this year, CohnReznick was named to the Accounting MOVE Project Best CPA Firms for Women List, released by the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA) and AWSCPA. The 10 firms named to the list demonstrate consistent, measurable progress in advancing women; proven and continually evolving programs that retain and advance women; and evidence that the firm’s advancement of women is intrinsic to its growth and succession goals.
