Ira S. Herman

Ira Herman is a retired partner and consultant with CohnReznick. He offers specialized expertise in financial management as it relates to personal, business, retirement, and estate planning. He has more than 40 years of accounting, audit, and tax experience and has conducted numerous training programs on technical tax and financial counseling subjects.
Ira has received the certificate of educational achievement (CEA) designation in estate planning and personal financial planning from the AICPA. He is knowledgeable in trust and estate administration and has been called upon as an expert witness regarding fiduciary accounting, tax, and litigation matters. Additionally, Ira has lectured for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) regarding New Jersey Court Rule 4:87-3 which prescribes the form of a statement of account in the State of New Jersey. He also has extensive experience with closely-held businesses, business succession solutions, and tax planning.
Ira frequently lectures before business and trade associations on topics such as business entity selection, succession planning, wealth accumulation, fiduciary accountings, income tax, and estate and gift tax planning. He was also an instructor in accounting and taxation at Fairleigh Dickinson University for a number of years.
