Manufacturing and wholesale distribution businesses are faced with various, often complex state and local tax rules. In many cases, businesses are jeopardizing profitability and cash flow by overpaying state and local taxes and may also be unnecessarily exposing themselves to potential tax risks, audits, and interest and penalties by underpaying taxes due.

During this webinar, our panel of tax professionals will address the following state and local tax topics important to manufacturing and wholesale distribution executives:

  • Credits and Incentives: Businesses can improve their tax position by leveraging applicable incentives and credits that state and/or local governments provide.
  • Nexus: When your business operations extend into new jurisdictions, it’s important to understand whether your business has a "nexus" or a taxable presence and how that jurisdiction's tax rules may impact you.
  • Property Tax: Property tax rules often vary not only between states, but also often within states. Many taxpayers are overpaying taxes on their personal and real property. This is especially true for businesses with multiple operations within one or more states.
