Experience and credentials

Leads a large, integrated team of advisory and government contracting professionals in delivering services including cybersecurity and data privacy, CFO advisory, enterprise technology solutions, compliance and government audits.
Provides range of advisory services for government contractors including FAR/CAS compliance, indirect cost rate structuring, cost reporting, and final incurred cost proposal compliance. 
With prior experience as a management-level contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), s acquired working knowledge of DoD compliance, allocability and allowability issues, disclosure statement requirements, GSA schedules, and DCAA audits
Helps government contractors develop business systems, identify and correct system deficiencies, and prepare for business system and other government audits.  
Works with the firm’s Construction and Not-for-Profit Industry practices on government contracting issues related to grants, A-133 audits, and U.S. Department of Energy 316 audits.
When CohnReznick was awarded blanket purchase agreements to perform incurred cost audits and business system audits for a number of civilian agencies, Kristen is one of two partners responsible for performing and managing these audits. Duties include communicating with the contracting officer and ensuring the audits are performed in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS) and with the Defense Contract Audit Agency’s (DCAA) audit program
Advises the government on cost allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and compliance with the applicable standards
Supervises and trains internal staff on audit and review engagements and on various government contracting issues. 
Presents monthly lunch-and-learn sessions and developed GovCon360.com to provide resources, templates, and updates to government contractors that reflect the ever-changing regulatory environment.
Regularly authors articles on private equity and independent sponsors, buy and sell-side due diligence, working capital, and purchase price allocations.
