He has experience advising private equity and strategic clients on merger and acquisition (“M&A”) transactions. Using his knowledge of complex financial analysis and technical accounting, John helps his clients by facilitating negotiation strategies and assessing potential acquisition opportunities. He has served as an advisor to private equity and strategic clients across many industry groups, including consumer products, retail, food and beverage, and technology.
Prior to joining CohnReznick, John worked with a Big Four accounting firm where he was a manager with the firm’s M&A transaction services group and served as a buy-side advisor to private equity and corporate clients. In this capacity, he directed full lifecycle M&A advisory including initial and second round due diligence, prepared financial analyses with a focus on value drivers such as quality of earnings and assets, working capital, and other commitments and contingencies; and also had responsibility for signing, closing, and post-signing transactional activities. John also was with that firm’s external audit services group and led engagement team staff and support specialists in performing financial statement and internal control audits for both public and private clients.
